What is the teeth whitening process?

For both Risio and Boutique Whitening, custom-fit trays are made from a scan or impressions of your teeth to ensure even application and comfort.

Treatment
Risio uses a two-gel system over around two weeks at home, while Boutique Whitening offers day or night gels, with treatment usually taking three to four weeks.

Aftercare
We provide advice on maintaining your results, including dietary tips and touch-up options.
Our teeth whitening options
Risio (At-Home Whitening)
Risio is a professional at-home whitening system that aims for a B1 shade (the lightest natural tooth shade); results vary from person to person. Your custom trays hold the gel evenly against each tooth, and treatment combines a hydrogen peroxide gel with a carbamide peroxide gel over around two weeks. Its pH-neutral gel contains potassium nitrate to help keep sensitivity to a minimum.
Boutique Whitening (Day or Night Whitening)
Boutique Whitening offers professional gels in different strengths, so your treatment can suit both your teeth and your routine. Boutique by Day is worn for around an hour a day, while Boutique by Night is worn while you sleep, with a gentler strength available for sensitive teeth. Results are designed to look natural, and you whiten in the comfort of your home.

No, whitening only lightens natural tooth enamel, so crowns, veneers, bonding and tooth-coloured fillings will stay the same shade. If you have any of these on your front teeth, we’ll check this at your consultation. Sometimes the best approach is to whiten first, then replace older restorations so they match your new shade.
